It's quick and convenient to use even during competition. This device measures the surface grit of your bowling ball. This product displays the grit of the ball in 0.5 sec with the click of a button. It also shows up to the three latest scans. This device is great to measure the rate of surface change which is partially responsible for "lane transition". The device measures the following grits:<500, 500, 1000, 1500, 2000, 3000, 4000, 4500STABLE (4700) this is the grit all balls go to over time with use 5000, 5500, 6000, 6500, >6500 With the all new CtD Ball Surface Scanner v.2, you can check the surface of your bowling ball as often as you would like. This is a great tool to show you when to change bowling balls.
